Mr Zaheeruddin has multifarious
business interests and has created a number
of successful ventures within his exclusive Shahzad Internat ional Group of
Companies. His principal focus
is in the energy sector encompassing upstream exploration
and production and power generation. He is now engaged
in taking working interest in the multi-billion
dollars LNG import projects. Emerging as a growing
business tycoon, Mr Zaheerudin has been recognized
for important contributions to Pakistan petroleum industry
and a prestigious civil award 'Tamgha-e-Imtiaz' was conferred
upon him by the President of Pakistan in March 2008. As a great
distinction of his achievement he is the only recipient of a civil
award in the whole of petroleum industry in Pakistan to-date.
The head office of the Group is based in Islamabad and it
has satellite offices in London (UK), Calgary (Canada) and Rabat
(Morocco). All the ventures in the Group are private limited companies
registered in Pakistan and abroad. The family members of Mr Zaheeruddin comprise
of Directors with himself as the proprietary Chairman.
